Paris Games Week restart: ask for the 2022 program

Paris Games Week continues to reveal itself! After 3 years of waiting, the time has come to find the big names in the industry who promise a more festive experience than ever.

Put the best of video games to the test

The PGW Restart is preparing to offer a varied program on games and flagship licenses, to discover, test and share the passion for video games.

The main publishers will be present at Paris Games Week 2022, including: Bandai Namco Entertainment, Capcom, Nintendo, Plaion and its partners Sega and Koei Tecmo, PlayStation, Square Enix, Ubisoft and Xbox.

Before discovering the official announcements of the full line-up of publishers in the coming days, the PGW has already confirmed some of the games that will be playable at the show:

  • Exclusively, Just Dance 2023 Edition, scheduled for release on November 22, 2022, will make PGW dance on the Ubisoft booth and stage. This year’s flagship novelty, Mario + The Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope will be part of the publisher’s booth.
  • Young and old alike have an appointment in the Bandai Namco Entertainment area to discover games for all types of audiences. The One Piece Odyssey and Park Beyond games, whose releases are announced for 2023, will be playable in preview. Families can find Paw Patrol puppies in Paw Patrol, La Pat’Patrouille Grand Prix, and compete on Lego Brawls. The eSports tournaments will score the 5 days of the show on the games: Tekken 7, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure or Dragon Ball FighterZ.
  • At the Plaion booth, players will be able to try out Sonic Frontiers and Like a Dragon: Ishin! of Sega playable for the first time in France. Masocore par excellence, Koei Tecmo’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will invite visitors to surpass themselves. For the more music lovers, Let’s Sing 2023 Frances and International Hits distributed by Plaion will allow you to win tickets for the concert!
  • For fans of simulation and thrills, Xbox will propose to test Forza Horizon 5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator with a small surprise on the latter to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the license. For most strategists, Age of Empires, whose first work celebrates its 25th anniversary, will also be playable on PGW. There will also be Penment, the nugget of Obsidian Entertainment scheduled for November 15th. Finally, a space entirely dedicated to the Xbox Game Pass will allow you to find the latest releases and additions to the catalog, with some upcoming titles as bonuses and many games made in France, allowing you to celebrate knowledge during Paris Games Week. do and the excellence of the French video game industry.
  • Ready for a knockout? Street Fighter 6, the next game in Capcom’s cult saga, available in 2023, promises intense combat sessions. The most recent version in development will be playable on PGW: it will include a selection of 8 fighters so that everyone can find their own champion!

Espace Jeux Made in France is also making a comeback and will bring together more than 25 publishers and studios to showcase the best of French creation, including Amplitude Studios, Focus Entertainment, Microids, Nadeo and Shiro Games.

More than 30 games will be available to discover, including: Focus Entertainment’s A Plague Tale: Requiem, Amplitude Studios’ Endless Dungeon, and Arte France’s How To Say Goodbye.

From consoles, PCs, mobile games, AAA releases to indie games, Paris Games Week is a showcase of a seething ecosystem and offers a place of honor to discover for this edition of the meeting.

Sport on stage

For the first time, visitors will be able to discover the PGW Stage with Fnac. Esports competitions, animations, demonstrations and talents will mark the 5 days of programming of the stage offering 800 seats. Fnac, which already organizes more than 70 Esports events a year in its stores, will be present every day with many surprises during 15 hours of live for the duration of the show.

Among the key events:

  • Skyrroz (2.6 million subscribers on YouTube), Kaatsup (1.6 million subscribers on TikTok), Linca and Little Big Whale will be giving away a 2v2 on Call of Duty on Friday, November 4 at 3:10 pm.
  • Domingo (1.5 million Twitch subscribers) will challenge his team on League of Legends on Saturday, November 5th at 3:30 pm.
  • Fuze III (2.6 million YouTube subscribers) will take on its subscribers on Minecraft on Sunday, November 6 at 5pm.

For its first edition, the League of Legends French Cup will make a stop at Paris Games Week! On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November, the PGW stage with Fnac will host the 2 semifinals of the League of Legends French Cup, welcoming the best teams in the discipline.

The export will also be practiced in virtual reality with the Esports Virtual Arena (EVA), a new discipline that combines video games and sports, where teams move freely on an arena of over 500 m².

Live and share the IRL video game

A meeting place for all communities and all generations, the PGW will offer many activities that reflect the plurality of the ecosystem. Young and old will be able to meet cosplayers at the stand of the Imagin’Con association which will offer many animations and activities and will travel with the family through 50 years of video games on the retrogaming space of the MO5 association. Also visit the PGW Boutique which will offer a range of collectible products from Paris Games Week and the Fnac boutique area to discover new products, events and demonstrations.

The PGW which takes place during All Saints’ feasts is naturally a meeting place for all families. The PGW Junior space will offer activities and games to try for budding players, as well as for parents!
